The Davis Direction Foundation’s The Zone works tirelessly to help those in our community who battle addiction. It is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) that mobilizes resources within and outside of the recovery community to make it possible for the recovery population to find long-term recovery.
Credit Union of Georgia has been a supporter of the organization since 2018 and proudly sponsors their quarterly Recovery Roundtable Leadership Council as well as other events totaling in over $4,000 in support dollars.
During the quarterly Recovery Roundtable Leadership Council leaders from all over the community gather to discuss different topics related to addiction and recovery within the community. The Zone is proud to provide peer support to those in need. Peer support is an evidenced-based approach to recovery support that is sweeping the country. Because of the astronomical relapse rate associated with opioid/heroin addiction, they believe that after-care from rehabilitation or incarceration is essential to fill the gap that will help those stay in recovery.
“We are always looking for ways to serve our community. When we heard about The Zone we knew that this was a cause that needed our support. It is such a unique resource for the members in our community,” said Kathy Winiarczyk, business development officer.
The Zone is continuing their in-person fundraising events such as the upcoming Cardinal’s Nest Luncheon on Nov. 21. You can learn more about upcoming events and support the fight against addiction visit www.DavisDirection.com.
