December 8th, 20170149Robins Financial Credit Union is getting the entire community into the holiday spirit this month with their 25 Days of Holiday Giving.
The Warner Robins-based credit union selected 25 different organizations throughout their count radius. Throughout the first 25 days of December, the credit union will give each organization a monetary donation to help with their Christmas celebration.

December 7th, 20172207Kinetic Credit Union recently selected a new CEO.
Mark Littleton, 47, will fill current-CEO Janet Davis' spot after she retires at the end of January, finishing a 40-year career with credit unions. Littleton will become CEO effective Feb. 1, 2018, according to CU Today.
"Mark was the unanimous choice of the selection committee from a pool of highly qualified candidates," Kinetic's Board Chairman Ron Hinze said in a statement. "The board was impressed with his passion for Kinetic and the commitment to the credit union philosophy of bettering members' lives."

December 5th, 2017092Robins Financial Credit Union made a difference in the lives of families with critically ill or injured children recently.
The Warner Robins-based credit union made a $4,000 donation to the Ronald McDonald House's 365 Day Society, which houses families with hospitalized children. A contribution of $1,000 to the Society covers the cost of operating the home for one day, according to a Robins Financial press release. While at the house, the families are given meals and an opportunity to connect with other families facing similar situations.

November 30th, 20171067The National Credit Union Administration recently awarded Peach State Federal Credit Union a grant to help it improve the financial health of people in under-served areas.
Peach State was one of 23 credit unions to receive $536,000 in Underserved Outreach Grants, money that's meant to help credit unions develop strategies to increase outreach in areas that need it most. The grant is also meant to drive positive business results.

November 30th, 201727137Three Georgia credit unions received national honors from the Credit Union National Association on Wednesday.
CUNA’s National Awards Committee announced the credit unions that won their Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Awards, Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Awards and Desjardins Awards for Financial Education. The winners of each award were selected from among top entries at the state level in categories based on their asset size.
Health Center Credit Union, based in Augusta, won second place in the Louise Herring award among credit unions with $50 million to $250 million in assets.

The Warner Robins-based credit union created care packages for troops stationed overseas during the holidays. The packages contained personal care items and snack foods.
"Robins Financial employees are proud to support deployed troops and have participated in this project for years," according to a press release. "It is a way of saying thank you for all of their dedication and sacrifice, especially during the holiday season."
