Both GTE Financial and Suncoast credit unions took an active rule in supporting a local walk that helps unite guide dogs with those who need them most.
The Southeastern Guide Dogs Walkathon in downtown St. Petersburg, Fla., gathers the public for fun, food and recreation in downtown St. Petersburg each spring, according to a Tampa Bay Times article. This year, the event will take place on Marcy 21 from 9 a.m. until noon, with activities for both dogs and their humans.
The Walkathon is an annual tradition in St. Petersburg, spreading awareness and support for the organization’s trainers, staff and facility for 34 years. Those who can’t participate in the walk can still make a donation at the event’s family- and dog-friendly celebration. Admission is free.
