The Power of Connecting Ideas and People

November 16th, 2022 Lizeth George Lizeth George Credit Union News, National 0 comments

Madison, Wis. – For growth to happen in the credit union industry, it must first happen at the individual level. Filene has opened applications and enrollment for credit union leaders to participate in the i3 innovation leadership program and The Cooperative Trust’s Crash Course.

Apply for Filene i3 by November 30

Filene’s two-year innovation i3 program is recruiting for its 19th cohort to develop credit union senior leaders across the country with a keen sense of not only the importance of innovation but the competency to lead change at their organizations. Filene saw 25% of i3ers promoted while in the leadership program last year.

“Filene has recalibrated the i3 curriculum to maintain its focus on human-centered design but also to incorporate leadership skill building to help participants better understand where they are as individuals today, and what they need to become better leaders,” said Filene’s Chief Product Officer, Christie Kimbell. “i3 develops leaders’ innovation skills from the inside out – so they can effectively drive change individually, across their organizations and ultimately across the system.”

The Filene i3 innovation leadership program is looking for senior leaders to join this esteemed community. Details on how to apply are available at filene.org/i3. Applications must be submitted by November 30.

Enroll in Crash Course by December 31

For those emerging leaders early in their careers, Filene’s Cooperative Trust is excited to bring back Crash Course.

“Our third cohort for Crash Course will bring in new sessions with industry thought leaders and Filene Fellows for a year-long learning opportunity,” said Filene’s Community Development Director, Cortney Arnold. “We’re focused on themes related to board governance, mental wellness, strategic thinking, innovation, data literacy and building community partnerships. We’re looking to take big ideas and make them actionable for emerging leaders and mid-level managers.”

Enrollment in the Crash Course program is open through December 31. Details on how to enroll an emerging leader within your credit union can be found at filene.org/crashcourse.

Filene i3 and Crash Course program participants will be announced in January 2023.
