The credit union recently made a $4,000 donation to GMC to award a student a 1-year scholarship. Lane deposited more rain than any other tropical storm or cyclone in Hawaii's history, according to Weather.com. The award went to Fairfax Elementary School's fourth-grade teacher Theresa Sandberg, according to WRBL. The 20-year teaching veteran was nominated by Simone Floyd. Cherokee schools OK partnership with LGE Community Credit Union
