A former VyStar Credit Union board member is running for an open city council position in Surprise, Ariz., according to an AZCentral article.
Wendell Fountain served on the board of VyStar Credit Union in Jacksonville, Fla., for 25 years before moving to Arizona. As a candidate for city council, he wants to ensure the city experiences controlled growth, pays attention to its water supply and brings in new business, according to the article.
“I want to do everything I can to make this place a better place than how I found it,” Fountain told AZCentral.
