Alabama ONE to Celebrate Alberta City in Mural and Technology Upgrades Reveal

January 27th, 2023 Lizeth George Lizeth George Alabama, Credit Union News 0 comments

Tuscaloosa, AL: A rich, hand-painted mural decorating the University Blvd. facing exterior of Alabama ONE’s Branch and Resource Center in Alberta was designed and painted by artist, Banks Compton. The mural displays several components that celebrate the history of Tuscaloosa and Alberta City including the former Leland Center Sign as well as an old newspaper clipping of the West Alabama Fair once held at Jaycee Fairground in Alberta. Chief Growth Officer, Martin Houston stated, “Alabama ONE’s decision to open the Alberta branch, invest substantially in technology and commission an artist to paint a mural honoring Tuscaloosa and Alberta, clearly demonstrates our desire and commitment to help revitalize the financial well-being and help fortify the pride of community to post-tornadic Alberta.  Bill Wells, CEO and Brittany Floyd, Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing, provided the inspiration and design for the mural, but the finished product reaffirmed my belief that Alabama ONE is not only the best Credit Union in Alabama, but the best company in Alabama.”

Alabama ONE’s recent technological improvements have been centered around Anytime Tellers, affirming one of its five foundational pillars, to Provide Excellent Member Service. Alabama ONE’s Anytime Tellers can be described as an ATM with more features. The implementation of the Anytime Tellers will give Members more access to their accounts, quickly and at any time. One of the most notable features that some of the Anytime Tellers provide is access to a virtual teller. In addition to virtual teller access, “Members can also process loan payments, cash checks, and withdraw more money than standard card transactions,” Bobby Umfress, Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations confirmed. Alabama ONE’s goal for establishing a presence of Anytime Tellers is to broaden service availability and continue to meet Members’ needs. Currently, Alabama ONE’s new Anytime Tellers can be found at the following branch locations: Main, BF Goodrich Branch, Skyland East, Jack Warner Training & Development Center, Lakeview, Rice Mine, Gordo, Fayette, Carrollton, Alberta, and Centre, with more coming soon.

The community is invited to help shower Alberta with love on February 14th from 2pm-4pm at the Alberta Branch & Resource Center. The Chamber of West Alabama will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony as an official reveal to the newly installed mural. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the new technology – based service model and take a picture with the Alberta-inspired mural painted by Banks Compton Art.

Use the Anytime Teller at the Alberta office to receive $5 prize on February 14th 8:30AM CST – 4:30PM CST. Must be over 18 and US Citizen to receive prize. One (1) prize per individual. No purchase necessary, see an Alberta TEAM Member. $5 prize for the first 100 people. First come, first serve.
