Credit Union of Georgia thanks community’s school nutrition superheroes

Being founded by educators, Credit Union of Georgia has a heart for supporting the local school districts. During this time the Credit Union of Georgia has been looking for multiple ways to give back, but also thank those who work tirelessly to serve our community.

With National School Lunch Hero Day happening in May the Credit Union of Georgia wanted to thank the superheroes of Cherokee County School District (CCSD) who are working to feed our students- the nutrition staff. What better way to say “thank you” than a Chick-Fil-A breakfast? Credit Union of Georgia sent Chick-Fil-A biscuits to all 12 schools preparing #CCSDserves to-go meals.

With physical school being closed for the reminder of the school year, there is currently a great demand for food for our students. Every Monday the CCSD School Nutrition staff distributes to-go bags of food for students in need. The bags contain a week of breakfasts and lunches for a child. Even through a crisis, the staff at Cherokee County Schools continues to care for our students with a smile.

“We are proud to be a partner for Cherokee County Schools! The nutrition staff at Cherokee County School District are the true superheroes for their dedication to feeding the students in our community. We cannot thank them enough,” said Amanda Arnold, vice president of marketing and business development at Credit Union of Georgia.
