Emory Alliance Credit Union recently donated $10,000 to two local, charitable organizations — Chris 180 and Friends of Disabled Adults and Children.
Chris 180 is an organization that works to improve the community by providing children, adults and families with high-quality, trauma informed behavioral health services and support systems. Chris 180 has been serving the community since 1981, with mental health counseling at its Chris Counseling Center as well as group homes, adoption services, supportive housing program and drop-in center for homeless youth.
FODACs mission is to provide medical equipment including wheelchairs and hospital beds at little to no cost to disabled people and their families. Since 1986, FODAC has collected and distributed more than 35,000 wheelchairs.
Each year, Emory Alliance Credit Union supports FODAC through sponsorships, monetary donations or medical equipment drives.
“We’re proud and honored to give to these two outstanding organizations,” said Chris Culberson, president of Emory Alliance Credit Union. “Chris 180 and FODAC have strong reputations for helping those in need and we are happy to contribute to that goal.
