Leigh Gant, business development officer at Georgia United Credit Union, surprised music teacher Krista Firkus with the announcement during a special-called faculty meeting at the school recently, according to a Rockdale-Newton Citizen article.

“I’m so incredibly grateful to Georgia United for the School Crashers Grant,” Firkus told the Rockdale-Newton Citizen. “As the chorus teacher at a middle school, I’m introducing my students to what a chorus class is and what they can expect as they sing in choirs for, hopefully, the rest of their lives. With this grant, we will be able to have risers, posture chairs and music stands for everyone.”
