Georgia united Credit Union recently announced the appointment of Dr. Cynthia (Cindy) Salloum to their board of directors.
Salloum will fill the remaining term of retiring board member, Dr. Steven Whatley.
Salloum, who has more than four decades of experience in the education system, currently holds the position of associate superintendent, human resources and legal services, for the Forsyth County Board of Education, where she supervises the recruitment, employment, induction and retention of the district’s employees, and serves as the local contact for legal issues.
In addition, Salloum is actively involved in professional affiliations including: American Bar Association, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, State Secretary of the Georgia Association Curriculum and Instructional Supervisors, Georgia Association of Georgia Educators, Society for Human Resource Management and State Bar of Georgia.
Salloum holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Georgia State University and a Doctor of Education (Ed. D.) degree from the University of Georgia.
Salloum and her husband, Greg, live in Dawsonville, where they enjoy all of their 15 grandchildren.
