The chief business officer from Georgia’s Own Credit Union recently spoke to CreditUnions.com about her process of moving from the banking world to credit union land.
According to the CreditUnions.com article, Putt joined Georgia’s Own Credit Union in September 2017 after working with various banks for more than 20 years.
“While banks and credit unions are both in the financial institution sector, credit unions have a distinct set of regulatory agencies, requirements and acronyms,” Putt told CreditUnions.com. “In addition, the credit union community is closely tied with tenured individuals and long-term personal relationships. Conversely, credit unions are tight-knit and look out for each other. That’s the best part.”
