Suncoast Credit Union supports Filene’s new Center of Excellence for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Suncoast Credit Union is a supporter of the first of the Filene Research Institute’s centers of excellence to launch in 2020 — the Center of Excellence for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

The Center of DEI will be a five-year research project tackling challenges in talent as well as products and services in the financial services industry, according to a CUToday article.  The center will be led by Dr. Quinetta Roberson of Villanova University. Roberson is the Fred J. Springer Endowed Chair in Business Leadership and professor of managment at Villanova.

“Dr. Roberson will build off of the work that the credit union industry is already doing and conduct applied research on DEI practices in credit unions to serve as a model for the larger financial services sector,” according to a statement from Filene.
