Delta Community Credit Union announces call for entries in annual Philanthropic Fund program

Delta Community Credit Union began accepting applications for its 2020 Philanthropic Fund grant program on July 1.

“Our Philanthropic Fund is one of the ways we invest in young people, families and the communities we serve,” said Delta Community CEO Hank Halter. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to support causes which are important to our members and our employees.”

In 2019, the Delta Community Philanthropic Fund awarded individual grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, for a total of $100,000 invested in 24 worthwhile organizations. Throughout 2020, the program will distribute a total of $100,000 to non-profit organizations committed to financial literacy, youth development and educational programs focused on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

Since awarding its first grants in 2014, the Delta Community Philanthropic Fund has invested more than half a million dollars in organizations which offer educational opportunities, job and career training and medical and human services support to people in need.

All applications for the 2020 Delta Community Philanthropic Fund must be submitted via the online portal at www.DeltaCommunityCU.com/PhilanthropicFund before 5 p.m. ET on Aug. 31.

In addition to its Philanthropic Fund, Delta Community invests in local communities through school sponsorships, scholarship programs, and support of chamber of commerce, industry partners and civic organizations.
