Delta Community Credit Union recently awarded a total of $6,500 from its Philanthropic Fund to two non-profit agencies, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.
Delta Community CEO Hank Halter awarded grants to both Kidz2Leaders and YMCA’s Backpack Program during a ceremony in the credit union’s Vinings branch.
Kidz2Leaders, an organization that works to generational incarceration by providing stability and opportunity to the children of prison inmates, received $4,000.
YMCA of metro Atlanta’s Backpack Program, which provides nutritious food to students eligible for free and reduced cost lunches in schools throughout the metro area, received $2,500.
