The Shelby County Schools system recently held a dinner to publicly recognize a group of educators as Teachers of the Year, thanks to a sponsorship from eCO Credit Union.
Each of the 32 schools in the school system selected one teacher as its Teacher of the Year, according to a Shelby County Reporter article. That teacher, in turn, was entered as a nominee for a district-wide Teacher of the Year award in one of three categories.
“Teachers are so special and we’re honored to be able to recognize them,” Shelby County School Education Foundation director Kendall Williams told the Shelby County Reporter.
