GEMC Federal Credit Union changes names to Go Energy Financial Credit Union

As it celebrates 50 years of service, GEMC Federal Credit Union has set itself up for an exciting future by changing its name to Go Energy Financial Credit Union.

The employees of Georgia Electric Membership Cooperatives founded GEMC Federal Credit Union in 1969. These hardworking individuals electrified Georgia and built a financial community to support their family’s common goals of safety, security and independence. They powered Georgia while the credit union powered their lives.

“Georgia’s electrical cooperatives inspire us,” said Denise Swan, Go Energy Financial CEO. “We have a focus through our name to honor Georgia’s EMC community and rededicated ourselves to helping even more of our neighbors go where they want to go in life.”
