GeoVista CEO named Liberty County’s Business Leader of the Year

A community recently honored a Georgia credit union leader was recently honored for all she’s done to help people afford life.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce named GeoVista Credit Union CEO Elaine R. Tuten the 2017 Business Leader of the Year. Leah Poole, the Chamber CEO, presented Tuten with the award at the 2018 Chamber Annual Banquet and Taste of Liberty.

Tuten knows credit unions. She’s dedicated more than 50 years of her professional life to the Credit Union National Movement and has spent more than 40 of those years serving as CEO at GeoVista.

“Elaine has committed her career to expanding the footprint of the credit unino by providing financial services and support to the local communities,” according to a press release. “She encourages staff to be active participants in organizations that support improvement, development and growth. Elaine and her staff at GeoVista Credit Union are dedicated to making a difference by helping people afford life.”
