GeoVista Credit Union CEO inducted into Defense Credit Union Council’s Hall of Honor

The Defense Credit Union Council recently inducted GeoVista Union CEO Elaine Tuten into its Hall of Honor.

“The Defense Credit Union Council’s Hall of Honor was established in 200 as a means of acknowledging a select few individuals whose exceptional contributions over the years have made a significant and most noteworthy difference in the defense credit union community and the Defense Credit Union Council,” according to a CUInsight article. “This coveted award highlights the outstanding accomplishments of leaders, volunteers, management and staff alike, whose untiring efforts and endless support of the credit union movement and DCUC epitomize the Council’s values and philosophy of ‘Serving Those Who Serve Our Country.'”

The council selected Tuten because of her devotion and passion for the credit union community, the members and her employees since the late 1960s. GeoVista Credit Union became a member of DCUC in 1975, shortly after Tuten became manager, according to the CUInsight article.

“The success and growth of the credit union is largely due to Mrs. Tuten’s leadership and guidance during her forty-four years of employment,” according to the article. “The military holds a special place in her heart as she has always been and continues to be dedicated to serving those who serve their country.”
