LGE Community Credit Union recently announced its plans to install Synexis Microbial Reduction Systems in its branch locations across metro Atlanta, set to be completed later this month.
The Synexis System being installed at each of LGE’s branch location uses the safe, patented Dy Hydrogen Peroxide (DHP) technology to essentially create an immune system for a controlled environment to effectively reduce airborne and surface bacteria and viruses, including coronavirus.
Synexis technology takes what is naturally in the environment, ambient and humidity (water molecules in gas form), to create Hydrogen Peroxide Gas or DHP. DHP becomes part of the environment and starts to safely eliminate pathogens as soon as they enter the branch location.
The continuous application of DHP within LGE’s branches adds a new layer of protection against viruses, bacteria and mold 24/7/365. Additionally, the Synexis system is UL certified to produce no ozone and works continuously without disruptions to member service.
“Health and safety are crucial aspects of ensuring we can provide the best possible service to our members for their financial needs, especially amidst a global pandemic,” said LGE President and CEO Chris Leggett. “Our leadership felt it was important to make a bold next step to ensure long-term health and safety within our physical locations. Having the Synexis technology within all of our branch location allows our team to serve members in a much safer manner far beyond just wearing face masks, social distancing and hand washing alone.”
Since early this year, LGE has actively implemented recommended safety measures like significantly increasing disinfecting efforts among its locations, providing cloth masks to employees, making disposable masks available to members, securely shifting to remote work as appropriate, and constantly monitoring new information as it becomes available. The implementation of Synexis Systems comes at the latest step among a list of many that the credit union has taken to preent the spread of COVID-19 to its employees and its members.
