Magnify Money, a national personal finance news site, recently ranked Delta Community Credit Union as having one of the best CD rates among credit unions in July 2018.
Delta Community Credit Union offers a 1-year certificate of deposit with 1.25 percent annual percentage yield. Minimum deposit is $1,000.
“Delta Community CU used to be the lowest-earning credit union on our list, but recently increased the APY on this product from 1.10 percent to 1.25 percent,” according to the Magnify Money article.
The article also suggests opening a CD with a credit union over other financial institutions to take advantage of better APY rates.
“As of March 2018, the average one-year credit union CD had a 0.79 percent APY compared, compared to the 0.63 percent APY average among one-year bank CDs,” according to the article.
