New Horizons Credit Union will spread a message of savings and urge its members and community to take a personal pledge to make savings a habit during National America Saves Week from Feb. 24 through Feb. 29.
To help further the saving movement, New Horizons Credit Union partners with GreenPath Financial Wellness, which offers members free budgeting resources, webinars and debt management tools designed to help develop savings goals and build credit. These resources are available at NewHCU.org. Plus, New Horizons Credit Union offers the Americasaves.org link on its site at NewHCU.org for anyone wishing to learn more and make a pledge to save.
For active first responders and military personnel, New Horizons Credit Union offers a special Horizons Heroes Account, which may qualify members to receive such perks as a 0.25% discount on consumer and personal loans and a 0.25% increase on our Certificate Account rates. This account, plus the resources available at Militarysaves.org, offers the tools necessary to save. Visit NewHCU.org for details.
“We are proud to join the America and Military Saves Week initiatives,” said Edith Franklin, president and CEO at New Horizons Credit Union. “America Saves Week is a great time to remind people to set a goal, make a plan and save incrementally through direct deposit — which should be part of any New Year’s resolution, too.”
America and Military Saves Week, coordinated by America Saves and its partners, is a national opportunity for organizations to work together within their communities to transform the lives of millions of Americans. The week is an annual, cooperative effort to promote good savings behavior and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status. Learn more at AmericaSavesWeek.org.
