North Main Credit Union recently sponsored lunch for a group of Habitat for Humanity volunteers from St. Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania.
The group was taking part in the SJU Challenge, a program which has volunteers travel across the country during the summer to promote awareness of the need to eliminate substandard housing in the United States.
Recently, the group stopped in Habersham to work on a local Habitat for Humanity house. While they were working, North Main Credit Union provided lunch for the volunteers.
The credit union frequently draws on strong ties with Habitat for Humanity. In fact, North Main Vice President Hope Murray serves on the Habitat for Humanity Family Selection Committee.
“We are very thankful to this wonderful group and all affiliated with Habitat for Humanity for their wonderful mission,” North Main said in a press release.
