Peach State Federal Credit Union contributes $15K to feeding those in need

Peach State Federal Credit Union recently contributed $15,000 to sponsor three Golden Harvest Food Banks delivery trucks this year.

The trucks will feed people in more than 30 counties in the Central Savannah River Area and upstate South Carolina, according to a Credit Union Times article. The sponsorship allows retail stores in the area to avoid wasting food by delivering it with efficiency to those in need.

Peach State has a history helping Golden Harvest. The credit union collects non-perishable food items from members and staff at branches and its corporate headquarters throughout the year and makes quarterly donations to food banks in its service area, including the Golden Harvest Food Bank warehouse in Augusta.
