Reuters: Wall Street stays high after positive jobs report

Stock indexes in the U.S. began Monday in a strong position after reports that May’s job growth turned out stronger than expected, according to a Reuters article.

The unemployment rate fell to an 18-year low in May and wage growth also beat expectations. The markets responded to the news late last week with the S&P 500 closing up more than 1 percent on Friday.
