CreditUnionBusiness.com recently ran a full-length feature on Publix Employees Federal Credit Union to highlight the way its new chief marketing officer plans to strengthen its unique membership with the popular grocery store chain.
PEFCU created the chief marketing officer position and hired Shannon Patten as part of a recent restructuring of the leadership team, meant to support the growing credit union as well as its growing member base. Patten, who has been a member of PEFCU since she worked at Publix as a cashier 25 years ago, said she sees a strong connection between the credit union and the grocery store.
“It is clear to me that the Publix Credit Union shares many of the same values as Publix Super Markets — values that I live by in both my professional and personal life,” Patten told CreditUnionBusiness.com. “For example, both companies care about their employees and the communities they serve — that’s super important to me.”
Patten said she plans to utilize and strengthen that connection through the credit union’s marketing efforts.
