First Florida Credit Union earns spot as one of The Best Companies To Work For In Florida

First Florida Credit Union recently earned the distinction of being one of the Best Companies to Work For in Florida. This is the seventh time the credit union has been named to the list, which is published annually by Florida Trend magazine.

The company was the only credit union awarded the designation within the mid-sized category, where it ranked eighth out of 31 diverse businesses across the state. Michelle Troha, senior vice president of marketing at First Florida Credit Union, said leadership at the organization is grateful to be recognized by the magazine once again.

“At First Florida Credit Union, we work diligently to create an environment where our employees can truly thrive and excel in their careers,” Troha said. “While this year has certainly been full of unexpected challenges, we are happy to have maintained employee satisfaction as we adjusted to the new norms of the world around us.”

To compete for the distinction, companies or government entities must have employed at least 15 workers in Florida and must have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also included an anonymous survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
