Georgia United Credit Union becomes official CU of UGA Athletics

Georgia United Credit Union loves the Dawgs.

This week, the credit union became the Official Credit Union of University of Georgia Athletics. Georgia United has sponsored Georgia’s athletics department since 2015. The new 5-year commitment will strengthen Georgia United’s presence on campus and at sporting events, allowing it to display signage and feature videos during home football, basketball, baseball and softball games as well as at gymnastic meets.

The deal will also include endorsements from Kirby Smart.

“We are excited for the opportunity to grow our relationship with the University of Georgia by increasing our presence in athletics and providing financial education,” said Debbie Smith, Georgia United President and CEO. “The UGAAA shares many of our values and we are proud to contribute to on-going support to the Oconee and Clarke County communities.”

Georgia United has partnered with UGA in a variety of ways over the past 50 years, including with FSLA Loan and VITA Tax Assistance programs.
