A recent Magnify Money article named Delta Community Credit Union as having one of the best certificate of deposit rates among credit unions with the best mobile apps.
On average, a one-year CD at Delta Community has a 1.10 annual percentage yield, according to the article. The CD requires a minimum deposit of $1,000.
The Magnify Money article also touches on the difference between certificates of deposit at banks and credit unions.
“The biggest difference between the two is that credit unions have higher average annual percentage yeilds, as of December 2017,” according to the article. “That’s good news: It means more money back in your pocket when the CD matures (i.e., reaches the end of its term and is available for withdrawal).”
