MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union student teller name 13WMAZ Athlete of the Week

Local radio station 13WMAZ recently named one of MidSouth Credit Union’s student tellers as its Athlete of the Week.

The following is an excerpt from that article.

[Sparrow Jenkins, a senior at Westside High School,] is full-tilt on the Cross Country and Track courses, holding school records in the 800, 1600 3200 and 5000 meters. He’s also full-speed in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA a job at MidSouth Credit Union in Macon as a teller.

Sparrow has been working since he was 14 — first, mowing lawns in the summertime, and now, at the [credit union]. He says it’s helped him develop as a person.

“It’s definitely helping me with my social skills as far as not being a social butterfly. It’s helping me to break out of that mold,” he said.
