North Main Credit Union recently participated in the Dec-a-Duck contest at the Mt. Laurel Festival in Clarkesville to support the Volunteers for Literacy of Habersham County.
The credit union decorated its toy duck to look like Scrooge McDuck. The entry received 3rd place in the People’s Choice Award category as well as in the Most Creative category.
“We loved participating in this contest this weekend and supporting a wonderful cause in our community,” North Main Credit Union wrote in a statement.
Volunteers for Literacy is a non-profit, United Way agency that develops and supports literacy programs in Habersham County. VFL’s mission is to empower people through literacy so they can lead more productive and fulfilling lives.
