DOCO, Southeastern CU helps Cancer Coalition of South Georgia honor survivor

A corporate sponsorship between the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia, DOCO Credit Union and Southeastern Credit Union will help the coalition honor a cancer survivor during its Fourth Annual Night for Hope fundraising gala on April 26.

The 2018 gala will honor survivor Sue Cox, according to an article in the Valdosta Daily Times.

“Sue Cox, owner and operator of Covington’s Dining & Catering and 306 North Restaurant, is a beloved and highly respected member of the Valdosta community,” according to organizers. “Ms. Cox serves as chairman of the Central Valdosta Development Authority, a member of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, as well as an advisory committee member of the new culinary arts program at Valdosta Technical College.”

Thanks in part to corporate partners, Cox will be honored at the gala, which will include a plated dinner, live and silent auctions and live musical entertainment.

“We are grateful to our corporate sponsors: DOCO Credit Union, Georgia CEO, Georgia Power, Keystone Foods/Equity Group and Southeastern Credit Union,” said Cancer Coalition Chief Executive officer Cynthia George.
