Eglin Federal Credit Union donates to set up suicide prevention program at local school

Peggy Brockman, executive director for of United for a Good Cause, recently thanked Eglin Federal Credit Union for its help setting up a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program in the Okaloosa County School District.

This takes a community,” Brokman said in an article in The Destin Log. 

The program, named the Hope Squad, will be interoduced into the school district sometime this year and will use trained peers, advisers and parents to create awareness about suicide and bullying. Participants will be chosen by their teachers and faculty. They’ll be taught to have the right conversations.
