A resolution was made by the Board of Directors to rebrand WinSouth Credit Union’s scholarship program as the L.W. Patrick and Ronald A. Patrick. Jointly, the father and son have served a combined 64 years on the board and have proven their dedication and loyalty to the credit union movement. This continuous service by a father and son is largely unprecedented within the credit union industry and the Board of Directors and Executive staff at WinSouth Credit Union wanted to honor their long-term commitment. The new name of the scholarship program will be “The L.W. and Ronald A. Patrick Scholarship Fund.”
“WinSouth has provided numerous high school students with scholarship opportunities to further their education. This year we were able to give out $10,000 to deserving high school seniors. Rebranding our scholarship program was a great way to commemorate L.W. and Ron’s dedication
to the credit union.” Stated David Eubanks, Chief Executive Officer.
“After combining for 60 plus years of devotion to our institution, it seemed appropriate to our Board of Directors to honor that level of loyalty by making L.W. and Ron the legacy namesakes of the credit union’s scholarship program.” Stated Nathan Clough, Chief Operating Officer.
The 2024 scholarship recipients will be the first to receive a scholarship under the new name. The application process opens the first week in January of 2024.
