LGE Community Credit Union continued its growth into Cobb County this week with the grand opening of a new Smyrna location.
“We’re very excited about being in Smyrna,” said LGE President and CEO Chris Leggett. “LGE already has a strong footprint in nearby Austell, but as we move forward we’re trying to deepen our relationship with the communities we serve. We believe our new model location allows us to serve our members beyond simply facilitating transactions, to add the value they’ve come to expect from LGE Community Credit Union.”
The credit union celebrated the grand opening of its 11th location in the Jonquil Shopping Center on Atlanta Road with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and entertainment from B98.5FM. The credit union provided guests with refreshments from McEntyre’s Bakery, a local favorite in Smyrna.
The new Smyrna location is the seventh in Cobb, following the opening of LGE’s West Cobb location late last year. Melissa Sabia, vice president of member development at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce said the chamber has been happy to see the expansion.
“We are so appreciative of our partnership with LGE, and it’s because of businesses like [LGE] that we have been able to speak so much to the economic development and impact that businesses are making on Cobb County,” she said.
