MOBILE, AL (August 20, 2021) — New Horizons Credit Union has established a special Charity Account that will help raise funds for the American Red Cross to assist victims of Hurricane Ida and has set up a link to CUAID which offers assistance to affected Credit Union people through the National Credit Union Foundation.
When a disaster strikes, the American Red Cross is there to provide compassionate care to those in need. They live a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world. American Red Cross comes in with roll up sleeves to help assist communities rebuild and teach life-saving skills so our communities can be better prepared. The American Red Cross provides their services through generous donations of funds, resources, and time. Anyone wishing to contribute to relief efforts can visit any New Horizons Credit Union branch and make a deposit to the American Red Cross Charity Account.
Plus, New Horizons Credit Union’s website offer a link to the National Credit Union Foundation Disaster Relief Fund – CUAID. This is the first national online giving center for credit unions to offer employees and members a donation option to help fellow credit union people in disaster areas. The National Credit Union Foundation raises and distributes funds to aid the affected region of the credit union movement including credit unions, leagues, and other credit union organizations. Donations towards CUAID can only be made online at this time at NewHCU.org or CUAID.COOP.
