(Washington, D.C.) – America Saves, a nonprofit initiative of the Consumer Federation of America, has named organizations as recipients of the 2022 America Saves Designation of Savings Excellence Award including New Horizons Credit Union for the fifth consecutive year. This is an annual, industry-respected award recognizing organizations across the nation who participated in this year’s America Saves Week and have effectively and actively promoted saving strategies during America Saves Week.
The America Saves’ Designation of Savings Excellence is awarded to financial institutions that display exceptional achievement by motivating individuals to become more financially stable. During the campaign, New Horizons Credit Union went above and beyond with educating members about Direct Deposit, New Start Checking, GreenPath Financial Wellness, and Horizons Heroes Accounts.

America Saves Week is an annual event that inspires Americans to make a simple savings action plan that starts or increases their savings. The event is coordinated by America Saves, with input and support from many organizations that include financial institutions, government agencies, local government, nonprofit organizations, academia, and more.
